13th July 2011 Central City Rollergirls are very excited to confirm that they have been accepted as a WFTDA Apprentice League!
CCR follow in the footsteps of UK Derby trail blazers the London Roller Girls (now full WFTDA Members) and our old friends the Auld Reekie Roller Girls, in being accepted by the Sport’s recognised rule makers and governing body onto their structured Apprentice programme.
By becoming a WFTDA Apprentice League, CCR aim to benefit from the wealth of experience the WFTDA and their members have to offer and believe that, coupled with our role within the UKRDA, we can help further the sport of Roller Derby in the UK.
CCR would like to place on record their thanks to Doc Block, Mistilla & FemiFist from WFTDA, Ms.D’fiant – WFTDA & Angel City Derby Girls, along with Bette Noir & Slice Andice of the London Roller Girls for their assistance in ensuring our application was accepted.
We look forward to working with our mentor over the coming months as we strive to move the league forward towards full WFTDA membership status.

We’d also like to congratulate our friends at Glasgow Roller Girls, Lincolnshire Bombers Roller Girls and Royal Windsor Roller Girls who have all joined us in making the the July draft.

UK or European Regionals anyone?
