Attack of the B Teams! One of the UK’s only dedicated B team tournaments

ccr b teamLegend tells of a sacred relic, something so magnificient it awoke the sleeping spirits of roller derby teams across the UK. Wise folk prophecised that it was last seen on the dark streets of Birmingham. Many don’t believe, but some do…
Six teams have compiled their armies in search for this hidden relic. Who will be victorious? Who will fall by the way side? The armies are crossing sea and land as we speak – there isn’t much time.
They’re coming…It’s the ATTACK OF THE B TEAMS!!

Last year Central City hosted one of the UK’s only dedicated B Team tournaments in Birmingham. This year we are building on that success and making it into a super 2 day event!

We are pleased to introduce this years first team, who as last years victors will be returning to defend their title and retain the Relic!

Batter C Power

London Roller girls are one of the world’s top leagues and from A – C team they provide a tough challenge for any opponent. Will they remain victorious? Or will another team steal their coveted crown? Batter C knocked out some impressive results last year against all the teams but with some fierce competition this year it’s all to play for!

We caught up with Batter C to find out some more about them:

Tell us about your team…

We have skaters from 8 countries and 4 continents on this roster. Also almost every skater on this roster is home grown in our LRG rec league!

On game day you will usually find me…
– with my head in a bucket (Magic Beanz)
– eating (Aura G)
the rest of us is somewhere in between!

Favourite training slogan/montage/motivational speech?

Strong, fast, PINK! And “SPORTS”

If you could have any celebrity/fictional character on your team, who would it be and why?

The celebrity we chose is DieDie because she is awesome and just recently won playoff MVP making her a huge celebrity in our eyes.

What’s next for you?

We are playing Newcastle B in a couple of weeks and finishing off the season/year in style with a home bout in London on the 21st of November.
